At the General Election in Winchester on 6th May 2010, 55955 votes were cast (approximately 76% of the total number of eligible voters) with the following result:

Steve Brine (Conservative): 27155 votes (+11.2%).

Martin Tod (Liberal Democrats): 24107 votes (-7%).
